D-Composed (DC) is a Chicago-based creative incubator and chamber music collective that bridges the past and present to the future of representation, music-centered experiences, and the communal power and impact of Black composers. The goal of DC is to intentionally create experiences that appeal to a broad range of interests and identities within the Black community. The impact is that these experiences open the proverbial concert hall doors to communities traditionally excluded from classical music experiences, making them feel welcomed and valued.
