The Accountability Project (TAP) is a database that enables journalists and researchers to search hundreds of government data sets from different sources—curated, standardized and indexed—that would otherwise be siloed or unavailable. Their data helps expose patterns and connections among voter data, health data, campaign finance data, property records, business ownership and other sources that can yield important stories about conflicts of interest, outsized influence and other issues that warrant deeper public scrutiny.
