Southside Center of Hope supports women through recovery from homelessness and substance use disorders in Chicago. Subscribing to a Housing First approach and promoting low-barrier service delivery, the organization operates a 14-bed Recovery Home (House of Hope) in East Garfield Park and, in partnership with Interfaith Housing Development Corporation, a 25-unit permanent supportive housing shelter (Independence House) in North Lawndale.
