Midwest Access Coalition (MAC) was founded in 2014 by a coalition of pro-choice feminists who dreamt of a grassroots organization built on resource sharing to support women who were compelled to travel to Chicago for abortion care by their regions’ anti-choice laws or lack of clinics. The communities with whom they work are those that sit at intersecting systems of inequity, and are therefore most vulnerable to the restrictive laws taking shape around the country. The majority of clients are low-income, uninsured, people of color, immigrants and refugees, minors, unsheltered individuals, or survivors of domestic violence. Visit Midwest Access Coalition
