This Little Land of Mines is an independent feature documentary about the resilience of the Lao people as they live amongst and work to clear 80 million unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Laos. The 80 million unexploded bombs continue to kill and injure innocent people. The film will serve both to acknowledge and draw attention to the Lao people and educate American audiences about something their government swept under the rug for 50 years. By humanizing this issue through artful filmmaking and journalistic practices, This Little Land of Mines will be a platform for Lao people to talk directly to Americans and spark cross-cultural communication.
