Chicago Freedom School provides Chicago’s young people with safe, affirming spaces for black, indigenous youth of color of intersecting identities to discuss their experiences with injustice; analyze broader contexts of history and identity; and gain essential skills to create change. This unique hub for BIPOC youth (14-24yrs) offers a network of core programs known as the Social Justice Youth Leadership Ladder. Each program welcomes cohorts of youth to learn foundational knowledge of systemic oppression, social justice and reproductive rights movement history, community organizing, and healing justice.
