Support the Freedom of the Press – The Fight Goes On

SkyART

Chicago, IL, United States

Centered on the south and now west sides, but reaching underresourced neighborhoods throughout Chicago, SkyArt equips youth participants (ages 3-24) with valuable life skills like creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence through its free visual art programs and art therapy. The programs are defined by a holistic, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) centered approach that also provides therapeutic opportunities to work through trauma and gain self-esteem. Since its founding, SkyArt has been the one of the only programs of its kind on the Southeast Side to provide accessible visual art programs serving youth across the entire city.
