Formed in 2021, EveryMom Chicago is one of the only organizations in Chicago that collaborates with South Side hospitals and community health centers to provide two expertly curated postpartum kits for birthing people and their newborns during the challenging first three months of a baby’s life. As the gap in Chicago’s maternal health services grows, especially with hospital closures on the South Side, EveryMom Chicago’s work has become essential in addressing maternal and infant mortality in low-income communities.
